500 Days of Women | Day IV | Jacinda Ardern

Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand, is being
applauded for her response to the Christchurch, NZ shooting. In the days following the tragedy, she:

  • spoke of unity, not revenge
  • focused on the victims, not the perpetrator
  • encouraged unity, not revenge
  • banned the weapons used in the assault

Ardern is a feminist, progressive politician. In 2018 she set a precedent by bringing her infant daughter to the United Nations General Assembly meeting. I admire her authenticity and wish her . . .

Peace 🕊 & 💗 Progress,
Colleen
